A couple trips to the thrift shop, and searching around my parent’s attic helped to create this easy and affordable boho basket wall in my foyer.

While it did take some time to collect enough baskets to execute my vision, it was a really affordable project that has a big impact.

The thrift shop by me has a whole section dedicated to baskets at really affordable prices – usually below $5.

I started the project looking for large baskets that would be the focal points of the wall. Then I filled in the crevices around the large baskets with smaller ones. I totally overbought baskets, but I think it made my life easier having options!

I looked for a variety of colors and patterns for some dimension and texture, but gravitated towards warm neutrals for cohesiveness.

For the most part, I chose to have baskets without handles and stuck to round baskets. I wound up using some plate chargers and was considering using some placemats. Keep an eye out for those as well!

There’s so many different routes you can take when putting them all together. I love the look of the baskets touching and forming a natural and easy curve.

All together they look like one big piece of artwork.

I set up the baskets on the floor before moving forward with hanging on the wall. I probably reconfigured it a million times and honestly still changed a few after I started hanging.

The easiest way I found to hang the baskets was with some finish nails, driven right through the centers. I’ve also seen 3M tape or hooks used.

This easy and affordable boho basket wall is a great bang for your buck. And easy enough for anyone to DIY!

If you don’t have the time to search thrift shops for the perfect pieces, I have seen shops on Etsy sell collections of baskets.

I’m so happy with how it turned out! This wall, and my entryway bench project have completed my foyer (for now anyways!) Check out my post on my painted weathered wood bench makeover I competed earlier in the year.

Have fun with it! I would love to see pictures if you wind up creating your own basket wall.
