A little inspiration for your next Hocus Pocus or Halloween get together!
I recently hosted my girlfriends the night Hocus Pocus 2 came out. We all love the first movie and wanted an excuse to get together. To say I was pumped to create a Halloween themed charcuterie board, would be an understatement.
I used my biggest cutting board I had added some spooky elements:
- Plastic skull from Dollar Tree
- Big, glittery spiders from Michaels
- Candy eyeballs from Michaels
- Spider rings from Target
- Mini pumpkins from Trader Joe’s
I also made a few sweet treats that were on theme for the night.
My favorite chocolate chip cookies (post with recipe here). I drew spider legs on top of the chocolate chips with melted chocolate and toothpicks.
I also made some simple brownies and used black gel icing and candy eyeballs to make them look like the infamous book in Hocus Pocus!
Not pictured was a delicious cocktail from Half Baked Harvest – “The Black Widow Smash”.
It had blackberries muddled with rosemary, lemon, orange bitters, tequila, and sparkling water. We were too busy trying to get our rosemary garnish to smoke to get a good picture but I 100% recommend! It was tasty. She has a bunch of other really great themed cocktails on her site as well.
